About

Yanfei Hu, LAc, EAMP

Dr. Hu is a Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac) and an East Asian Medicine practitioner (EAMP) with extensive training and clinical experience. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine from Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine and a Master’s Degree in Medicine from Tianjin University of Chinese Medicine which is renowned for acupuncture.

In 2007, she practiced acupuncture at Qiqihar Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, mentored by professor Biao Wang, a renowned TCM doctor in Heilongjiang province. During 2008-2009, she practiced at First Affiliated Hospital of Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine, serving patients across many clinical specialties, including pain management, gynecology, gastroenterology, pulmonology, and pediatrics. From 2009 through 2012, she practiced at Tianjin Medical University General Hospital, where she helped patients with a wide range of health issues achieve better health. She moved to Seattle with her husband in 2013 and continued her practice as an acupuncturist helping as many patients as she could.

Dr. Hu believes acupuncture and Chinese medicine are important approaches in the treatment of acute and chronic illnesses for their key role in stimulating the body's full healing potential. She is committed to partnering with her patients to maximize their health in a holistic and natural way, and help them live a life full of energy and vitality.

We're excited you've chosen us for your health care!

At your first appointment:

  • Please make sure bring your photo ID and current insurance card with you.
  • Avoid getting treatment while feeling too hungry, too full or extremely tired. And do not scrape your tongue coating on the day before your appointment.
  • Wear comfortable, loose clothing and please arrive 10 mins earlier to fill out a new patient form.
  • Before you get the treatment, we’ll have a consultation in which we discuss your chief concerns and do some examination and tongue-pulse diagnosis to get an evaluation of your health problem.

All the needles are sterile and disposed after a single use.

COVID-19

Precautions

We are taking every possible precaution to keep you and our staff safe:

  • Pre-screen all patients for COVID-19 symptoms before each appointment and check temperature on each arrival.
  • All patients will be asked to disinfect their hands on arrival and will be required to wear a face mask throughout the consultation. Practitioner will always wear a face mask during treatment.
  • Extra time is allowed between each appointment for thorough disinfection and ventilation of the rooms.
  • We recommend patients not to wait inside, we will invite you to come in when we have completed the disinfection process and are ready to see you.
